The wind blows on the water. That’s why it stays cool here. Before the 80s it was clean, after that the population of Delhi grew so much it became dirty, now there aren’t any more fish or tortoises. Before the 80s there were tortoises and many fish. There was life in the water. You could see coins from 20 feet up. Now the water is black.

Some people get rashes from going in the water. We don’t. This water is in our veins now. So we don’t get ill. But if a new man comes and bathes he gets the itches.
We want Yamuna ji to become clean
